Corporate Structure

At The Global Carbon Group, we recognize that credibility, governance, and stakeholder inclusion are key to building trust in carbon credit markets. Our organizational model reflects these principles, ensuring that every project delivers measurable impact while creating sustainable returns.

By combining robust governance, transparent reporting, and inclusive partnerships, The Global Carbon Group sets a new standard for credibility and performance in carbon markets.

CarbonCo: Development & Operations

CarbonCo is the dedicated project development and operations entity. It carries the responsibility for designing, registering, and managing carbon credit projects worldwide. From reforestation initiatives in the Amazon to sustainable land use projects in the Blue Nile region, CarbonCo ensures full compliance with international standards such as Verra and Gold Standard. Revenues are generated through the sale of verified, premium carbon credits.

LandCo: Land Contributions & Partnerships

LandCo represents the landowners, who can be private individuals, local communities, or governments. By contributing land and necessary permits, LandCo receives equity in CarbonCo, alongside guaranteed long-term returns. This structure safeguards landowner interests while ensuring that local communities benefit directly from project outcomes, including employment, infrastructure, and training.

Governance and Oversight

CarbonCo is managed by a Board of Directors with expertise in carbon markets, sustainability, and finance. To enhance credibility, an independent Advisory Board supports strategy development and impact assessment, drawing from academia, development organizations, and the private sector. Together, they ensure that operations remain aligned with global climate goals and best practices.

Stakeholder Integration

Our projects are designed in close cooperation with national and regional governments, aligning with climate strategies, the Paris Agreement, and the SDGs. Local communities are actively engaged, not only as beneficiaries but also as partners in reforestation and monitoring activities. At the international level, we work with institutions such as the World Bank, UNDP, and the European Union to secure funding, technical expertise, and global legitimacy.

Transparency and Accountability

All projects undergo independent financial and environmental audits, with annual reporting on carbon performance, community benefits, and financial returns. This guarantees trust for investors and buyers while demonstrating the tangible environmental and social impact of every project.
